Job Description: Operations Manager (POM)

Reports to: General Manager/CEO

Remuneration: Salary

Full-time job- must be flexible, available on weekends, work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift

Objective: The Operations Manager is responsible to Direct/Manage/Supervise all aspects of the organization's cleaning operations. Develop and implement plans to efficiently utilize labor, supplies and equipment. Ensure that all accounts cleaned are safely completed within budget, on time, and according to established task schedules. Work with executives to develop operation plans, schedules, budgets, and KPI targets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Build a positive relationship with assigned staff and clients projecting JaniTek as a professional, caring company.
  • Maintain a well-groomed professional appearance and adhere to the "Do the Right Thing" standards and codes.
  • Operate safely in accordance with Company policy and procedures at all times.


  • Know all service aspects of each clients account and make certain hot button sheet is completed for each client and entered into MITC/SharpSpring.
  • After start up, inspect each account at least once monthly, weekly for 5 day a week or more accounts, assess our cleaning performance, track results, and report any significant issues to upper management immediately.
  • Track all customer feedback using proper protocol and procedures.
  • Respond to all reported management or customer complaints/requests as assigned within time frames given.
  • Track Key Performance Indicators as assigned.
  • Update and coordinate schedules for supervisor visits/inspections and night project work assignments with project crew.


  • Help hire and train subordinate employees in their job according to company standards.
  • Ensure that all employees complete all required training, know and understand company rules, security procedures, and proper chemical usage.
  • Ensure that production in each building is performed as per the agreed upon task schedule and hot button sheet, and completed with satisfactory results.
  • Demonstrate good two-way communication skills with subordinates and other team members.
  • Coordinate and lead daily/weekly production meetings to resolve operational issues and assign production responsibilities with supervisors and floor crew.
  • Understand and execute our safety program and workers compensation protocols.
  • Develop positive rapport with all staff treating all with dignity and respect.
  • Keep files, and binders organized
  • Keep vehicle washed and clean inside and out.

Minimum Standards of Performance:

The Production Manager will have satisfactorily completed the above responsibilities when:

  1. Operations
    1. 95% of supervisors account inspections completed.
    2. Project work and Supervisor schedules updated daily and reviewed weekly.
    3. Safety standards are implemented with all subordinate staff.
    4. Training schedule is met for all janitorial and supervisor staff.
    5. Daily work Order assignments are completed and reported as assigned.
  2. Service
    1. Sets inspection schedule prior to the start of each month and updates daily/weekly due to unforeseen events.
    2. The individual meets the established monthly targets for visits & inspections.
    3. Completes all inspections reports and emails results to operations within 24 hours.
    4. Helps to complete all start ups without incident.
    5. Completes at least 4 "Above and Beyond" services each week.
    6. Meet formerly with Market Manager as required to view inspections, supervisor development, janitor HR issues, and any production scheduling.
